Some Southern Flavored Fun

Some Southern Flavored Fun

After dreaming up that Baja retreat—with the pizza oven, outdoor shower, and maybe El Zorro next door—I figured it was time to head in the opposite cultural direction.

This one? It’s pure Southern spectacle. Grand columns. Ornate trim. The kind of place that expects you to wear shoes in the house. Dress shoes.

I probably wouldn’t live here. Too much pressure to behave.

But I would color it.

I’d be imagining the Duck Brothers living there, or if you are old enough, the Beverly Hillbillies.

Not every vision has to be realistic. Some are just fun to mess with. Let your imagination run loose with this one. I went full blush-pink exterior and teal shutters once.

Really got me involved.

It helped my day.
